Your jewellery is insured, door to door
Insured to £10,000 per parcel, both ways.
Most people's first question is the honest one: what happens if it goes missing in the post? Here is the answer.
Everything travels Royal Mail Special Delivery, tracked from the moment it leaves your hands. On top of that, our own jewellers' block policy with Wilson Smith Group London Limited covers your jewellery to £10,000 per parcel — on the way to us, while it is with us, and on the way home.
Per parcel, not per item
The £10,000 covers the whole sending. Post three rings in one envelope and the £10,000 covers all three together, not £10,000 each. Worth knowing before you decide what to send in one go.
Sending something worth more than £10,000?
Speak to us first and we will make arrangements. We can sort it out beforehand. We cannot sort it out once it is already in the post.
Both directions are covered
The postage to us is paid by us, and it is covered from the moment you hand it over the counter. The journey home is covered the same way. Return postage is £9.99 per order, however many pieces you sent.
UK only
We cannot cover sendings outside the UK at the moment. If you are outside the UK, get in touch before you send anything.
One thing we would ask
Hand it in at a Post Office counter and keep the receipt. Please do not put it in a post box. Special Delivery is not covered if it goes in a box rather than over a counter — that is Royal Mail's rule rather than ours, and it is the one thing that catches people out.
If there is anything you are unsure about before you send a piece, ask us. We would rather answer a question than deal with a problem.
