The Jewellery Mechanic is the postal arm of Blackwell Jewellers — three shops, three workshops and three benches in Kent, and 35 years behind them. Every repair is carried out on our own benches. Nothing is sent out. Membership brings that same workshop to your door.
What membership gets you
Expert care. Working jewellers, not a middleman. Whether it is a polish or a complex repair, we quote before we start and nothing happens until you have agreed it.
Real savings. A clean and polish is included on every plan, and you get money off every service for as long as you are a member.
Covered repairs. Silver and Gold each include one jewellery repair as part of the plan — you send it in and there is nothing more to pay on that repair.

The plans
Bronze — £14.97 every three months, or £49.50 for the year. Clean and polish, and 10% off all services.
Silver — £29.97 every three months, or £99.00 for the year. Clean and polish, 10% off all services, and one jewellery repair included.
Gold — £44.97 every three months, or £149.50 for the year. Clean and polish, 15% off all services, one jewellery repair, one engraved item and a yearly valuation.

How it works
Sign up and we email you the details. When you have something that needs doing, tell us and we post you a pre-paid Royal Mail Special Delivery envelope. Postage to us is on us, everything is insured to £10,000 per packet door to door, and return postage is £9.99 per order — however many pieces you send.

How do I become a member?

What does my membership include?
Every plan includes a clean and polish and money off all services. Silver and Gold each include one jewellery repair; Gold adds one engraved item and a yearly valuation. The pricing table above shows exactly what is on each plan.
How does the yearly plan work?
You pay for the twelve months up front and get two months free compared with paying quarterly. Bronze is £49.50, Silver £99.00 and Gold £149.50 for the year.
Can I upgrade my membership plan?
Yes! You can upgrade your membership plan at any time. Simply contact us and we’ll help you switch to a higher tier so you can enjoy even more benefits.
How do I send my jewellery in?
Tell us what needs doing and we post you a pre-paid Royal Mail Special Delivery envelope — you do not arrange or pay for the postage to us. If the job is the repair your plan covers, there is nothing more to pay on it. Anything beyond that we quote for first, with your member discount applied, and nothing starts until you agree it.
